About Sree Akula
Sree Akula is an experienced Physiotherapist, Massage Therapist and Osteopath at the clinic. Sree received his post graduate degree in physiotherapy (Masters in Orthopedics and Manual therapy) from Australia at the University of South Australia in 2002. Since then, he developed niche expertise in treating patients with the conservative management of acute and chronic pain from musculoskeletal injuries. This helps him to provide effective manual therapy treatment for individuals with spinal, peripheral and sports injuries. Sree’s special interests in musculoskeletal physiotherapy include the shoulder complex and spine.
Sree has also completed a postgraduate degree in remedial massage therapy in 2004 from the South Australian Health Education Center in Australia. He wanted to become the best therapist possible and pursued an Osteopathy manual practitioner diploma in Canada. Sree is currently a member of NMOS (National Manual Osteopathic Society).
Philosophy of Care
All aspects of therapy are provided by a registered physiotherapist on a one to one basis. Therapeutic modalities are used only to prepare the soft tissues and joints for manual therapy. Manual therapy techniques, such as soft tissue mobilization and passive mobilization of joints are used to treat soft tissue adhesions and articular restrictions. The patient is taught stretching, strengthening and stabilization exercises to maintain the corrections that were gained through manual therapy. On discharge the patient is educated on injury prevention.
“I have to say, that I am so glad that I switched where I am doing my back. We are addressing things that the other office did not, they look at the whole body and teach me how to be in control of my pain. I so wish I had not wasted my time at an other place. Thanks, “
“I had a very complicated case, and the dedication and time spent on working towards getting me stronger has been top-notch. If you are in need of good rehab, reeducation, or any other health & wellness related service, you should run to Speers Physio. They are lifesavers“
“I had been plagued with lower back pain, and after examining many alternatives and trying innumerable techniques for easing same, I was referred to Sree. I am pleased to say that his efforts have given me the first relief I’ve had in years.“
